Celebrate our amazing community with music presented by The Syracuse Orchestra! Syracuse is such a culturally-rich community, and the orchestra will be featuring many local artists, including Ronnie Leigh, Katie Webber, CirqOvation (local vaudeville/circus performers), and country artists and SAMMY-award winners Steve Cali and T. J. Sacco. A community choir of singers from The Syracuse Pops Chorus, Syracuse University Oratorio Society, and the Syracuse Gospel Collective will also be joining the orchestra, and Principal Pops Conductor, Sean O’Loughlin (who grew up in Lyncourt) has written a brand-new piece for the event.
Nine local not-for-profits will be honored with The Syracuse Orchestra inaugural Harmony in Action awards. These organizations were chosen in 9 different categories for the impact they are creating in Central New York. In addition to recognition, the award winners will receive a portion of the ticket price for any tickets sold using that organization’s unique link, up to $1,000. Links for each organization are below.
Tickets start at $25, and a limited number of $250 tickets are available for a VIP After Party at the Landmark with local food and drinks and a chance to meet Sean and the artists. Don’t miss the chance to be a part of the party! Click here to purchase VIP tickets.

Described as bringing an “artisan storyteller’s sensitivity… shaping passages with clarity and power via beautifully sculpted dynamics… revealing orchestral character not seen or heard before” (Arts Knoxville) Lawrence Loh enjoys a dynamic career as a conductor of orchestras all over the world.
After an extensive two year search, Lawrence Loh was recently named Music Director of the Waco Symphony Orchestra beginning in the Spring of 2024. Since 2015, he has served as Music Director of The Syracuse Orchestra (formerly called Symphoria), the successor to the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra. “The connection between the organization and its audience is one of the qualities that’s come to define Syracuse’s symphony as it wraps up its 10th season, a milestone that might have seemed impossible at the beginning,” (Syracuse.com) The Syracuse Orchestra and Lawrence Loh show that it is possible to create a “new, more sustainable artistic institution from the ground up.”
Appointed Assistant Conductor of the Pittsburgh Symphony in 2005, Mr Loh was quickly promoted to Associate and Resident Conductor within the first three years of working with the PSO. Always a favorite among Pittsburgh audiences, Loh returns frequently to his adopted city to conduct the PSO in a variety of concerts. Mr. Loh previously served as Music Director of the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Music Director of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Syracuse Opera, Music Director of the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra, Associate Conductor of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Associate Conductor of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra and Music Director of the Denver Young Artists Orchestra.
Mr. Loh’s recent guest conducting engagements include the San Francisco Symphony, Dallas Symphony, North Carolina Symphony, Baltimore Symphony, Sarasota Orchestra, Florida Orchestra, Pensacola Symphony, Atlanta Symphony, National Symphony, Detroit Symphony, San Diego Symphony, Seattle Symphony, National Symphony (D.C.), Utah Symphony, Rochester Philharmonic, Indianapolis Symphony, Calgary Philharmonic, Buffalo Philharmonic, Albany Symphony and the Cathedral Choral Society at the Washington National Cathedral. His summer appearances include the festivals of Grant Park, Boston University Tanglewood Institute, Tanglewood with the Boston Pops, Chautauqua, Sun Valley, Shippensburg, Bravo Vail Valley, the Kinhaven Music School and the Performing Arts Institute (PA).
As a self-described “Star Wars geek” and film music enthusiast, Loh has conducted numerous sold-out John Williams and film music tribute concerts. Part of his appeal is his ability to serve as both host and conductor. “It is his enthusiasm for Williams’ music and the films for which it was written that is Loh’s great strength in this program. A fan’s enthusiasm drives his performances in broad strokes and details and fills his speaking to the audience with irresistible appeal. He used no cue cards. One felt he could speak at filibuster length on Williams’ music.” (Pittsburgh Tribune)
Mr Loh has assisted John Williams on multiple occasions and has worked with a wide range of pops artists from Chris Botti and Ann Hampton Callaway to Jason Alexander and Idina Menzel. As one of the most requested conductors for conducting Films in Concert, Loh has led Black Panther, Star Wars (Episodes 4-6), Jaws, Nightmare Before Christmas, Jurassic Park, Casablanca, The Wizard of Oz and Singin’ in the Rain, among other film productions.
Lawrence Loh received his Artist Diploma in Orchestral Conducting from Yale, his Masters in Choral Conducting from Indiana University and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Rochester. Lawrence Loh was born in southern California of Korean parentage and raised in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He and his wife Jennifer have a son, Charlie, and a daughter, Hilary. Mezzo Soprano Kay Weber (fondly known as Katie) has been described as a dynamic and moving performer, with a commitment to text, musicality, and communication through music. “Weber possesses a formidable instrument, with a highly melodious but penetrating timbre.”
Kay made her Off-Broadway Debut in Sweetee A New Musical directed by Emmy Award Winner Pat Birch at the Signature Theater at Pershing Square Theater Complex. Other Off-Off Broadway productions include Icons/Idols at Opera America and the New Ohio Theater (dir. Colette Roberts), and Henry Box Brown and The Dizzy Gillespie Theater (dir. Mehr Mansuri).
Staged readings include: Kerrigan and Lowdermilk’s Republic, Stephanie Sandberg’s Mezzo, Helen Banner/Grace Oberhofer’s Tetrology Icon’s/Idols, Brad Ross’ Michael Strogoff, Grace Oberhofer’s A Doll’s House: A New Opera at The Tank Theater as Dr. Rank, and a second production of A Doll’s House at Central Square Theater in Boston as Christine Lindt.

For the past five decades, he’s wowed audiences everywhere from Istanbul to Winnipeg and from Detroit to Philly to the Big Apple, in theaters, arenas, stadiums, gazebos, concert halls, nightclubs, and dance halls. He’s also played a balcony over a bowling alley, and a sandwich shop opening on a converted gas station’s rooftop. If you can imagine a venue, Ronnie Leigh has probably played it.
And over the course of those five decades, at thousands of gigs, concerts and performances, Ronnie has never come up short. If this was baseball, this guy’s the musical equivalent of Hank Aaron, …. a guy who hits it out of the park every night, and never fails to delight audiences wherever he performs. His multiple-octave vocal range, engaging stage presence, singular style and his love of the music always comes across, and whether he’s interpreting Monk, Al Jarreau or Duke, the man’s consistently sensational!
After 40 years in the music biz, working with everyone from Smokey to Aretha to Ray Charles, and after 30 years of watching this guy, all I can tell you is that he’s one of the finest song stylists working in jazz today. But it doesn’t stop there. He’s also one of the finest Soul and R & B stylists I’ve ever heard and an amazing entertainer. The guy’s the complete package. And it’s not even remotely hype to mention him in the same sentence with the great Lou Rawls and the amazing Donny Hathaway.

Their artists have worked all over the globe, from the Arctic Circle to Zambia performing for big names including Disney, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Cirque du Soleil, Ringling Brothers Circus, Chevrolet, NBC, and Britney Spears.
Two years ago, CirqOvation and Symphoria set out on an impossible project: Mounting a production formed in a pandemic that is built on a foundation of a safe, stigma-free creative environment where our artists and production team could feel valued, nurtured, and free to be who they truly are in their bodyminds regardless of age, ethnicity, race, gender identity, body type, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, disability, and neurodivergence. We are so happy to be back for another round this year! Thank you for being on this journey with us.
