BIN GUI | violin
Bin Gui, a violinist from Qingdao, China, is currently residing in the New York area. Bin received her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Manhattan School of Music, where she studied under renowned violin teachers Glenn Dicterow, Lisa Kim, David Chan, and Lucie Robert.
Bin has performed at summer music festivals such as the Texas Music Festival, the National Orchestral Institute, Orford Academy, and MusicAlps. As a soloist, Bin has won numerous competitions, including the Vivaldi International Music Competition in 2022, the New York Artists International Competition in 2017, and the First National Violin Grade Examination Competition for Excellent Players in the highest grade. Bin has performed as an orchestra musician in Carnegie Hall and the Kauffman Center for Performing Arts. She also performed in solo and chamber masterclasses given by Glenn Dicterow, David Kim, Stephen Rose, Andrzej Grabiec, James Dunham, and Levon Chilingirian.
