MEET THE ORCHESTRA

CAROLINE CORNELL | violin

Caroline Cornell is a violinist based in Rochester, NY. As an orchestral freelancer, Cornell has performed throughout western New York through her work as a member of both the Syracuse Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Southern Fingerlakes. In addition to performing, Cornell is a devoted educator and mentor. As teaching assistant to David Bowlin, Cornell has taught and mentored undergraduate students at the Eastman School of Music. Cornell has appeared at various summer festivals including Tanglewood Music Center, Music Academy of the West, The Chautauqua Institute, and Madeline Island Chamber Music. Cornell holds a Bachelors in violin performance from Oberlin Conservatory and a Masters from the Eastman School of Music, where she studied with Sibbi Bernhardsson and David Bowlin respectively. Cornell grew up in Naples Florida, studying with Marlena Chow from age 3.
