After graduating from Northwestern University in cello performance and spending her first professional season in the NC Symphony, Lindsay joined the the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra as Assistant Principal Cellist and cellist of the Symphony Quartet. She has served 3 seasons as SSO and Symphoria Principal Cellist, most recently in 2015-2017. Her sabbatical years and summers have been spent as Principal of the Hawaii Symphony (‘14-‘15), the Spoleto Festival, the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra, Assistant Principal of the NC Eastern Music Festival, and member of the JFK Center Opera House Orchestra. She has enjoyed substituting, recording, and touring with symphonies and festivals in Baltimore, Buffalo, Binghamton, Albany, NE PA, Ithaca, Ft. Myers (FL), Santa Barbara, Monterey (CA), the Kenai Peninsula (AK), Colorado, Switzerland, and China. She soloed with orchestra in the Haydn, Schumann, Elgar, and Dvorak Concertos, and is a frequent recitalist and chamber music collaborator. She founded the Skaneateles Festival, and produced 140 chamber music and chamber orchestra concerts over its first eleven years, featuring artists such as David Zinman and Hilary Hahn. Recent chamber music performances in CNY have been at the Aurora Morgan Library, Skaneateles Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, First Presbyterian Church, and St Davids Episcopal Church. In 2022, she performed for the Syracuse Friends of Chamber Music winter series at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, in concerts with the Frisson Ensemble and with Symphoria colleagues. Last summer’s performance locations included Lindsay’s quiet back yard on Skaneateles Lake, the CRS Barn in Ithaca, and in the strangely good acoustics of the back Skaneateles Finger Lakes On Tap parking lot next to Nine Mile Creek.
