Our friends at the Syracuse University Oratorio Society join us to ring in the 200th Anniversary of St. Paul’s Syracuse! Gustav Holst’s St. Paul’s Suite, written for the students of St Paul’s Girls’ School in London where he served as music director, reflects the accessibility, craftsmanship, and folk-inspired vitality that shaped Anglican church and school music. That heritage resonates in John Rutter’s Magnificat, a radiant setting of Mary’s song from the Gospel of Luke, and is infused with lyrical warmth and celebratory spirit
